As a single mother of two in her early twenties trying to get away from an unhealthy relationship with her ex-husband, Susanne Conrad had a very unconventional and bumpy start to her adulthood and career. She held the belief she always had to do the safe thing in life that would protect her family, so she settled for chasing the next big promotion, the next big job, the next big raise in Corporate America. Deep down in her gut, she knew this wasn’t it; she knew she was meant for more; she knew there was a reason the question “How can I bring more choice and freedom into my life?” constantly visited her. With a passion to pay forward the unconditional love she received throughout her life; a desire to show others how the power of choice could uncover their freedom and endless possibilities; and a motivational push from her current husband of 27 years Brett Conrad, she started her own business which is now Lightyear Leadership, a company that creates and implements dynamic, innovative communication programs for powerful leaders and progressive companies to rapidly and radically transform themselves and the world.
